 Wonderful, unbeatable gift - get it! Dec 28, 2009

I was nervous about buying a briefcase online, especially as a gift, without holding it in my hands and seeing it. However, this briefcase was wonderful! I got it as a gift for my significant other, whose face lit up when he opened the box and saw it.
Appearance: the leather on the bag is more grainy than it appears in the photo. It is not perfectly smooth. However, I loved the appearance, which was comfortable, classic, professional, and high-quality. The two latches were of heavy, quality metal and came with keys to lock the briefcase. As I note below, this bag holds a substantial amount of stuff but still pulls off the trim, classy, elegant look.
Functionality: 10 stars!!! The inside of the briefcase is extremely well-designed. There are two large, expandable compartments, as well as a zip-up compartment in the middle that can hold several small paperback books. The compartments, while not specifically designed for laptops, could hold one also. There are two small compartments in the front as well, perfect for holding cards and keys, and a zip-up compartment in the back as well as a small pocket. I did an extensive search for the best briefcase, and this was the most functional one because of all the perfectly-sized compartments that can hold quite a lot of stuff but WITHOUT looking bulky! A great balance for the busy professional, who wants a classy bag that is also functional.
Bottom line: classy, beautiful bag that will hold a good number of files, keys, cards, etc. yet still look relatively trim and elegant. Highly recommended as a gift! The only potential downside is if you are really looking for a bag made of perfectly smooth, rather than slightly grainy, leather. But I have to say that the look is beautiful, the details of excellent quality and I believe it's an unbeatable combination of functionality and appearance.

 Great Bag, but a VERY Strong Leather Odor Dec 22, 2008

This is a very nice bag and is very well made. My only complaint is that it has the strongest odor of leather of any leather bag, shoe, or jacket I have ever owned. Even after almost two months of daily use, the bag's leather smell is so strong as to be overpowering in the car or other enclosed spaces.
Add a star back to the bag if you like the smell of leather.

Good price, nice bag. I ordered this bag and received it within 4 days! My only complaint is that the leather is not as smooth as it looks in the picture. It is nice leather, just more grainy than I thought it would be.

Awesome bag for the money! Got it as a gift for my husband and he loves the quality and styling. Works for his MacBook. Only complaint is that the closures are hard to open and can be a hassle.

"Cooking again!"
I gave this gift to the Best Man in my wedding. He was thrilled with this briefcase. He loved the appearance/style, the multiple compartments, and the size. As a teacher, he found it to be extremely useful and appropriate for the materials he must transport daily. Also, the price was just right... less than similar products I researched elsewhere.
