5These work  Jul 01, 2009 By Texan Jill
Upon discovering that an extended brown recluse spider clan had elected to infest my rural abode, I ordered every spider trap I could find on the internet. Of the non-toxic box-shaped glue-trap variety, these are superior to the flimsy Catchmasters, because they have glue on all four interior surfaces (the Catchmaster only has glue on the "floor") and don't collapse as easily if you happen bump into one inadvertently.

I put about 60 of these out around the house. In two weeks I've trapped over 30 brown recluses, and have lost count of the other spiders, scorpions, wind-scorpions, gnats, flies, mosquitoes, centipedes, millipedes, and assorted unidentified insecta. The glue holds'em fast; only the most enormous katydids are capable of defeating the Victor's mighty cling.

Highly recommended if you aren't into toxic pesticides (which don't work on spiders and scorpions anyway, unless you shoot'em directly), and if brown recluses aren't your idea of good-timin' roommates.

5Victor Hobo Spider traps  Sep 05, 2009 By Susie Shea
I really HATE spiders so I have 40 of these traps all over my house. Yes, they work great. I have tried every spider trap available and these are much superior to the others. I have caught 2 HUGE spiders in the last week. And this is just the beginning of the season in which male Hobo spiders are out hunting for mates. These traps give me peace of mind. I have been using these for years and they really do work.

5Trapped tre' huge spiders!!  Jun 25, 2009 By P. Burkhard
It's really works, I can't believe the size of the spiders it trapped under my bed!!! All three spiders where parked next to each other, like cars in a garage. Sweet!

5Unbelievable!!  Sep 14, 2010 By Skywolf93102
My landlord recommended these to me (I live in a basement), so I picked up a pack awhile ago at ACE Hardware and put several in my room and bathroom. A few months later, I checked all the traps and most of them were FULL. I had around 80 dead spiders, many of them Hobo spiders!
So now I'm buying more of these handy things! No more spiders running into the shower while I'm dancing in there!!! ;-)

1Spiders are walking around it, above it, on it ....  Sep 28, 2011 By Great Turquoise
I purchased this so I can avoid using chemicals on spiders. To be clear, my place is not infested but every once in a while I hear my wife screaming at the sight of one (she is petrified). I was hoping one of these babies per room would take care of any occasional intrusions but I was wrong. I have seen spiders walk all around this thing, above it and hey, sometimes on the trap itself. Pretty damning indictment of the ineffectiveness of this trap when the object that is supposed to be trapped is having the time of its life ON the trap!! One month later, not one spider trapped by any of the 4 traps I deployed. Fail!
