4Better than glucosamine  Feb 28, 2012 By Naqam Sanders
I've dealt with shoulder and wrist joint pain (shoulder more so) for most of my weigh-lifting career. If you've been dealing with any type of joint injury and have so been for years, I'd recommend trying Cissus over glucosamine. I've taken them both, separately, and did find the Cissus to be more effective for my shoulder. I've been lifting weight since I was in high school and up until I started taking glucosamine, I couldn't even finish my workouts some times.

The biggest difference between glucosamine and cissus is the next day joints feel more fresh and I'm able to get them warmed up a lot quicker with the cissus. I would suggest taking cissus powder, Cissus Quadrangularis Bulk Powder 100 Grams over the pills because of the ability the body has to absorb the powder faster, and it's less expensive so it will last much longer. It's one of those supplements that will eventually get on every serious lifters laundry list as the fate of every heavy lifter is usually the same; bad joints!

5I was initially skeptical, but after two weeks I am DEFINITELY feeling the results!  Sep 16, 2008 By Sean R. Chang "Shockin' Sean"
I have been powerlifting for 12 years now. For the past 2 years I have developed an intense pain in both of my elbows. Sometimes it feels as though the pain is emanating from between the two bones in my elbow. It especially feels the worst after a good chest or shoulder workout. It progressed to the point where I would wake up in the middle of the night in so much pain and would have to apply my Ace bandage or I would not be able to fall back to sleep. During the day, while I am at work, I would apply my odorless pain relieving ointments and keep my elbows covered with elbow sleeves. I just returned from a two week vacation to Orlando and intentionally did not work out during my time in Florida. I wanted my body to heal and to see if the pain would get any better during this layoff. During my first workout after two weeks off, it seemed as though I had never taken a break. The pain returned with such a vengeance.

I have tried so many over-the-counter painkillers (Advil, Advil PM), which only offered 4-6 hour relief, topical analgesics (Capzasin and Zostrix), which cost over ten bucks a tube, and even Glucosamine and Chondrotin. I purchased the most expensive Glucosamine Chondrotin with MSM, and I honestly feel it was completely ineffective in thwarting this sometimes unbearable elbow pain. About five years ago, after many years of heavy weight training, I actually had lidocaine injections in both of my elbows, my lower back and both of my shoulders to combat all of my pain. I now decided that since these injections are corticosteroids and only offer ephemeral relief, I would look for a viable alternative.

I am now into my third week of using Super Cissus and after my second week, I immediately felt a significant relief from my elbow pain. Not only is the difference so noticeable, but I am not even using the recommended dosage. The bottle informs you to use approximately four capsules per day to achieve maximum results. I decided on two per day because I wanted the bottle to last longer. Not only have I been able to resume my heavy workouts in the gym, this product it so much safer than any over-the-counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (Aleve). Plus, it takes only two capsules per day for me to feel plausible results.

Since I began taking Super Cissus, I no longer have to use any night-time pain reliever, nor do I have to wrap my elbows at night, or doing the day. Is this product a panacea? Who knows? Only time will tell. But, I am certainly happy, thus far, to have found a product like this with such a fantastic 24-hour pain-relieving benefit.

4Don't know if it's working, but something is  Oct 07, 2011 By Mark in LR
I originally got this supplement for weight loss while reading 4 Hour Body (which I do NOT recommend). I haven't noticed it working for weight loss, but it may be working for it's intended purpose of helping with joint problems. I often get sore elbows from lifting. In the past, the soreness would stay, until I quit lifting for several weeks. I'm taking this product and fish oil and am trying to stay away from exercises that seem to put too much stress on and hurt my elbows, and something about that combination is working reasonably well. My elbows still get sore (tennis elbow & golf elbow type soreness), but it's a constantly moving target now, with different aches and pains coming and going instead of just coming and staying. I don't know how much credit this product deserves, but I am pleased that something in that combination is keeping me lifting.

5Can't say enough...  Sep 01, 2011 By Abevem
I've had spine trouble since I was 10 years old. Pain was progressively getting worse throughout my 20's and much worse as I got into my 30's. This products has given me SO much relief; and I have tried MANY products.

If you take into account that a co-payment for a specialist costs $35 for one visit, this product is CHEAP!!!

5Amazingly Effective for Tendonitis  Jul 09, 2010 By Birdgarden "Birdgarden"
I purchased this because I'd read about its use in traditional oriental medicine as a curative for broken bones. I had a fractured foot that was not healing after four months, and I was trying to avoid surgery. Not only did it heal my broken bone, it also gave me relief from the crippling tendonitis I'd been suffering with in my right hand and pain from an impinged shoulder muscle.

It might not work equally well for everyone, but it certainly worked well for me. I don't like having to rely on pain medication, and I haven't needed any ibuprofen or naproxen sodium for tendon or muscle pain since I started taking this.
