I use the PV 350 without screwing it onto the table and I was surprise how stable it is, due it's low center of gravity. The jaws are precisely adjustable so that you can use just the right amount of pressure to hold but not destroy your work object. The tiny trays are helpful indeed. The relative small size allows you to store it easily. I switch often between different extensions witch can be done easily and quickly.

The PanaVise 350 is a great third hand. It's solid and yet flexible. I'm using it as a soldering station. When I'm soldering it holds the boards perfectly stable. I have used Panavises for years, they have never dissapointed me.

The vice does what I intended it for. Holding small parts to paint/hold. The vice/holding fixture rotates and user friendly. I would buy again. Well constructed.

This is THE vise for electronic and hobby work. Great for holding small items in any position. Slots in the rubber jaws are perfect for holding small PC boards. The jaws are reversible so you can close them completely or accommodate large items. You'll need to remove four screws to do this.
The head can be tilted sideways to hold parts for soldering down close to the bench so you can rest your hand on the bench top and hold the iron steady. The low profile base is ideal for this.
Helpful hint: Solder tends to stick to the base and tray. To avoid this, periodically apply a light film of silicone grease (either spray or paste) to the base and wipe it clean. This will allow easy removal of any solder that has fallen.

I bought this over a year ago now for my husband to use when he assembles small circuit boards or other gadgets. He absolutely loves it! The base is large enough that it provides good enough stability that he can even work on moveable projects in the house, or if he decides to bolt it into his garage workbench he can do that too. The size of the arm vice isn't always exactly what he needs depending on which project he's working on, especially for smaller circuitry, but he says PanaVise sells additional arms to add on to it for that purpose. So, the work center is really very multi-purpose. Overall, he thinks it's perfect for his needs, particularly when working with small projects like circuit boards, or even hobby work like fixing up old video game consoles or old clock parts.
