Great Inexspensive Rasp and File - 4 in 1. Feb 06, 2012
By Books and Woodworking I bought this rasp to help shape cabriole legs. This was the perfect tool. And the price is right. It has both a half-round and flat Rasp and also a half-round and flat file. All in one. The rasp is great for the rough parts and file is great for a smoother finish. I plan on using this for wood only. I suppose I could use the file part for metal, but I to keep it exclusively for wood. At first I wondered about there being no handle, but the file is a good size and is not hard on the hands. I suppose I could make a handle for it out of wood, but there is no need.

Where do I "file" this? Oct 16, 2011
By Ronald Sheets Okay, it's simply a metal bar machined to have rasp surfaces, but gosh it feels good in your hands, and it does a great job of smoothing, filing, and leveling.
