A solid Master Lock for a great price.
Beware Amazon's product description - it's not from the product's carded blister pack nor from Master Lock's website. This lock is NOT meant for LUGGAGE - the shackle is a quarter inch thick. And the claim of "over" 10,000 combinations is mathematically impossible (though 10k is enough for me).

Don't get this thinking it's for luggage. Works great on my gun case because it's easy to open and is lightweight. Best used for a locker or with chains.

On top of everything else, this is a good-looking lock: very stylish design. I wear it on my backpack. I lose one or two locks a year at the gym or the pool (I forget to take them with me). The price makes it affordable to easily replace; and because I can easily set my own combination, I don't have to memorize a new one every time I lose a lock. Plus it's easy to locate in a locker room where 85% of the locks all look the same. I also have locks on my work locker and my public storage room, and I keep a spare one, all with the same combo.
A couple of minor drawbacks: When you unlock it, the numbers are very easily displayed, so you have to spin the dials to prevent others from seeing them, then reset to the combination before you can lock it back. Also, I wish it were a bit thicker as a better deterrent to would-be thieves.

Lock works as expected. I use this for the gym and it works fine.. easier combination to remember than the traditional 3 number designations that are pre-set which I tend to forget.
