good cheap regulated power source Mar 15, 2011 By Shungu
nice and light due to digital switching technology instead of using a power transformer. takes 10 seconds to turn on after flipping the power switch, which can be disconcerting to someone unfamiliar with the unit. I have 5 of these and 4 out of five came with broken feet that were supposed to prop up the unit for easier reading, but I just threw the feet away, it is fine as is. The glitter faux metal paint on the enclosure gets gritty after a year, but cosmetic detail isn't that important compared to how well this ps works. Nice to have volts and amps on the readout. Voltage adjuster does not go down to zero (about 1.2v). Comes with test leads bananna to alligator clip, nice touch. I haven't blown one up yet!
