5Paper Guillotine  Sep 13, 2009 By Bill
I am very impressed with how sharp and how quickly I can cut thick card stock. The stop allowed me to make numerous cuts without having to constantly stop and remeasure. It is what they claim it to be.

5Great produce for the price  Jan 07, 2010 By Mr. Logical
The guide/stop for measuring the item you're cutting works well. It cuts a very clean edge. The inline clamp works very well for holding the item in place during cutting. My project involves printing 4 pages duplex on legal size paper. I'm cutting the legal paper exactly in 2 even pieces (7 inches). I found that cutting 5 pages at a time presented no problem. It could probably cut more as advertised, but I was being cautious to ensure a clean and uniform cut.

3Not 12 inch cutting... almost 10 inch  Jul 04, 2011 By P. Marino
The cutter is better than you will find in office supply chain stores. However, mine arrive with a missing screw, missing instructions and it will almost make a 10" cut... nowhere near 12".

3Ehh- not as good as I expected  Sep 04, 2011 By Amy
I am one of those "crazy coupon ladies", so I got this paper cutter to ease the burdon on my poor fingers. First disappointment, although not major and easily fixed, was that one of the screws that holds the "cutter" on the base was out and the nut to secure it was missing. Like I said, easy to fix, but still a bit annoying to receive this way. I have used the trimmer on about 4 occasions now and I do notice it doesn't always make the cleanest cuts- I am typically cutting 10 sheets of coupons at a time which doesn't seem excessive, but maybe it is for this particular model. Now the one big complaint I have about this cutter is the "paper holder" piece (can't remember the exact terminology used to describe it). For some reason, mine is not completely straight so it turns ever so slightly to the right at the end. Not a big deal right? I'm being anal? Well, no- what happens is the holder overlaps the edge and causes the cutter to not be able to cut the full length of the sheets. I've tried trimming the rubber on the paper holder to prevent this from happening, but so far I still run into trouble with it. So, in a nut shell- this has helped my finger not to be so sore from cutting endless coupons with scissors, but it was not all that I'd hoped it'd be from the reviews. I feel like I could've paid less for a more basic one since the "bells and whistles" on this one are malfunctioning. Hope this helps you all out.

5A Smooth Cutter  Jan 24, 2011 By Alan R. Hecko
I purchased this particular paper cutter because of the reviews it got. The cutter arrived within a week. My previous paper cutter was awful. I threw it away because it cut so poorly. This new paper cutter cuts like a hot knife through butter.
It's so smooth and easy to use. I bet you will love it. Do be aware that the table
you place the paper on is just 10" in width. For me, however, this unit fits perfectly on a smaller table. I would buy it again.
