5Happy Easter. Let Us Spray!  Apr 07, 2010 By Edwin C. Pauzer
There is an old joke about how bachelors and single women get rid of roaches from their apartments. He keeps searching for the perfect one, and she keeps searching for one that will make a commitment.

But there's another way, particularly if you are involved--Raid in the cute red can because red rhymes with ded, and that's what the bugs will be after you push down on the bright plastic tip with the grooves, so you won't lose your grip. (Now, who the hell loses their finger grip on a can of Raid)? Before you can say, "better dead than red," a foamy looking substance exits the front of the can a good three feet in front of you after you have depressed the plunger. A generous mist will drown'em, toxify'em or both. (Needless to say, it should always be aimed away from other humans and pets as it is very toxic).

After the cleaning staff laid down passive devices devised to make Grandma Roach stick to its surface, or eventually die from fumes, I could not wait. I wanted to KILL, KILL, KILL! The only way to do it was to take a more active role, and take vengeance for trespassing against my coffeemaker. (God may forgive them their trespasses, but I won't). I bought Raid: Ant & Roach, or Raid: Mata Hormigas Y Cucarachas!

Knowing that roaches love the back of a refrigerator because it is dark and toasty warm, I pulled it back from the wall suddenly, (it's a small fridge), and surprised a bunch of polypeds that scrambled to activity. Being a training specialist by education and occupation, I had the brief thought of training them, and marching them out of my place of employment, but that could start rumors faster than you could find one on Fox television. Now, people back off when they see me come down the hall with my can of Raid. They call it "Mr. Pauzer's Death Plan for Grandma Roach." But they only say it in whispers; they wouldn't dare spray it to my face. (Gutless tea partiers)!

The little buggers may have been around longer than humans by evolution or creation, but the ones behind my refrigerator that marks my worldly status in our Table of Organization, are dead.

Oh, yes! It's supposed to have a fresh scent too, but it closes up my throat.

Also Recommended:

A fly swatter. (I recommend you cut a small, square hole in yours. After all, you should always give a fly or roach a sporting chance)!

5Works like a charm on flies  Jun 19, 2011 By Chuck
I purchased this Raid because my previous bug spray (Hotshot Flying Inset Killer) had this awful solvent smell, kind like a lighter fluid. Every time I used the Hotshot near a light, I wondered whether it would ignite into a flame thrower. Raid did not have the smell and to my surprise was also much more effective than Hotshot. On a fly, one spray would sent it tumbling and losing altitude fast and a second spray kills it within second. With the Hotshot, it was more like a hide-and-seek game around the room, and takes 3-4 sprays to get the fly on the floor and I often had to pick it up with tissue paper to flush it while still alive and kicking.
