4Just be warned - not a perfect solution  Mar 18, 2009 By J.S. Knapp "ViperMan"
Okay this is a bunch of screws and a wrench, so no long review is needed here.

I was telling a friend about the fancy license plate I bought - "VIPRMAN" for the back of my 2000 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe - and this screw kit that I purchased.

She told me that as an avid biker, a lot of bike shops sell these exact screws and the required wrenches to cut down on theft of bikes and/or bike parts.

Whereas it's still a theft "deterrent," don't expect these to be a perfect solution. To assist, I installed all four screws, instead of the usual two. The wrenches are a pain in the butt (can usually only get 1/2 turn before it hits the bumper) so I figured it'd take someone too long to steal it, and they wouldn't bother.

Just a warning - they work great, but they're not exclusive.

1Great idea, poor quality!  Dec 28, 2008 By Stephen Denby
I purchased two sets of these. One set had screws that were too small for the included tool! Since no other tool I had would work with them, I tried the tool from the other set. It also would not fit. Out of both sets of 4 screws, a total of three screws would fit the included wrenches. Not the kind of quality I could recommend...

4These are meant to deter theft and not prevent it  Oct 25, 2009 By Vidit Bhargava
These fasteners are small for standard licence plate frams but work fine if you have a washer there.
Again...these are meant to deter theft and are not full proof security against licence pte theft. The jack used to unscrew these can be purchased at a locl store I believe but are rare to find. They can in no way unscrewed using a standard philips screw-driver.

Would recommend this product.

5Totally ace!  Aug 24, 2009 By Theresa L. Lane "EnglishUnicorn"
This product is great for protecting my plate and my Jaguar chrome lisc. plate frames. You have to keep the tool handy in the car though or you are screwed and won't be able to get the plates off if you have any body work done.

5Good product. Maybe wrongly labeled by the manufacturer.  Feb 07, 2011 By B. Perdue
I needed the wrench to remove some old bolts I put on my GMC truck many years ago. It worked perfectly.

Since I was buying one set of the bolts ("Domestic"), I decided to buy the corresponding "Import" set as well to put on my wife's Toyota. It seems to me that the manufacturer might have mislabeled the packages. The "import" bolts fit my GMC, and the "domestic" bolts fit my wife's Toyota.

I had looked at the bolts on both vehicles prior to ordering, so I was pretty sure I was getting what I needed anyway. I ordered both sets together just in case.
