 Cute, but not what I ordered Mar 22, 2011

I thought I was going to get the umbrellas in the picture but I didn't. I expected a single color umbrella with white flower detail. Instead I got colorful umbrellas with a bold colored very large flower on top. I also expected 4 different color options in the box. Instead I got 2 color options in the box. I thought I was going to get these lighter colored umbrellas almost close to pastel and instead I got really bold almost primary colored ones. They didn't ruin what I was making with them but they didn't go as well as the ones I ordered would have.
These are cute... just not what I ordered.

I love the looks of these, they are very brightly colored and pretty. They made my drink much more enjoyable. They are delicate, so be careful opening them up, but for the price I won't complain. They would be great for a party since you get so many in a pack.

i got these to decorate some desserts i had made for a luau-themed picnic and they were quite cute. there were some umbrellas that were broken right out of the box and some umbrellas couldn't stay open wide, so if you need 144 umbrellas, you might want to get extras because there are bound to be some that you can't use, unless you don't mind having umbrellas with holes in them. overall it was an ok purchase. the quality was in line with the price. you might want to check the dollar store just in case they've got them cheaper. i got lazy and just ordered them here w/o checking.

My favorite part of going on vacation is drinking the tasty fruity drinks or the classic blended drinks. They almost always are accompinied by a fruit wedge and an Umbrella. I got a box of the 144 and they are the same ones used in the bars of the resorts we visit. Every time I use one it makes me think of my past vacations which brings a smile to face which makes these umbrellas well worth the cost and the effort to use them.
These umbrellas are meant for one time use. They are easy to open and i have not had any issues with any in my box. They worked as you would expect them to.

I had a marine biology class in college where one of the graduate students told us that during an extended stay in Antarctica, he received a shipment of thousands of these parasols. The researchers used them not only for decorating drinks, but many other applications. To this day, whenever I see a cocktail umbrella, I am reminded not of the tropics, but of Antarctica and the long isolation of the research teams there.
