5Best Planner For My Business Needs  Feb 24, 2009 By J. Culver
I started using this planner in 2008, having switched to it from a different format, and got quite desperate when I couldn't find the 2009 issue in any of my office supply stores! I was so relieved when I found it on Amazon, as it is perfectly layed out for all of my appointments. I am a private piano teacher with 50 students, and my 2:00-8:00pm slots are filled Monday-Friday. Some come on the quarter hour, some on the half hour, and some on the hour. I can see my whole week laid out and write in who was here and who wasn't, who has paid for or owes for tuition or books, who I sent to or received correspondence from, etc. There is plenty of space for writing too, as it is "wide-ruled" instead of skinny, so I can write in my normal handwriting instead of trying to alter it to make everything fit. I love the very handy pockets on the inside, the notepad, the address book, and the cover. It is easy to use in every way. I have an iPaq handheld pc that I love and also use daily, but this is my HARD COPY, and I very much depend on it.

Time management is so critical to any successful business.
The ability to jot down names, appointment times, etc. while reading email or on the phone is critical to a busy person on the run.

But even more important is having them all in one place with the ability to take your appt schedule with you.

** Eliminate the little giblets of paper, all the little note pad sheets of paper, and other stuff. Get it all in one place. **

Treat yourself like a professional. Your life deserves to be organized. Don't disrespect your time by not having what you need handy.

Even if somebody is a housewife they still need something by the phone to keep incoming calls noted and to plan the upcoming days.
And if you run a business, well, have you ever seen a doctor's office without a receptionist having one of these by the phone? You deserve to treat yourself with the same professional attitude towards time planning and management.

It doesn't have to be this particular product, but what I like so much about this style is you can see a whole week at once and the days are broken down to specific time periods, not just a blank sheet of paper for each day.
